Stocks 2010

Sell stocks in 2010 but count them in 2009 tax year?

I currently(Feb 13) have some unsold stocks that I want to sell asap and have them count towards my 2009 taxes. Is this possible? Because I remember seeing that you can contribute to a Roth IRA in Jan for the previous year. Please help.

Sorry, but no way. You must sell the stock in 2009. IRAs have special rules.
